A Prayer For Strong Bodies

God of all bodies,

we thank you for bodies that move with power and grace—

for muscles that grow, limbs that carry us,

and for strength the world too often calls "too much."

You formed each body with care,

knitting beauty into every fiber and every curve.

You entered flesh to show us holiness dwells here—

even in sweat, in soreness, in striving.

Free us from the shame that distorts your creation.

Quiet the voices that say we must shrink to be worthy.

Let us honor what is powerful,

and love what the world has called unlovable.

Teach us to bless these strong bodies

and the sacred work they do.

In ourselves and in each other,

may we see what you see: goodness.
