A Prayer for Practice

God of practice and becoming,

Thank you for loving me as I am, not for what I achieve or produce, but simply because I am yours.

Today, I have another opportunity to show up, to practice, and to grow in the gifts you have given me. There will be moments of frustration—grant me perseverance. There will be moments of distraction—grant me focus. There will be moments of doubt—remind me why I began this journey in the first place.

Shape me, O God, into an honorable teammate, a coachable player, and a more whole and humble human being. I am always becoming, and I am becoming with you.

May the love and light I bring to this practice be a true reflection of you. Amen.
